To express and manifest oneself as a painter is a form of full contact. It’s important for me to work with a quick and direct medium. I’m interested in perception and in combining the real and the imaginative, the rational and the intuitive. I get inspiration from daily life. Peripheral brain ghosts, deviant distractions, and the healing love of the Universe.

PETER KÖHLER was born in Stockholm, Sweden, in 1971. He is a graduate of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts, Stockholm (2000) and Central St. Martins in London, England (1998). In addition to his very prolific work in painting, Mr. Köhler is the author of several books of drawings and essays published by Biondi Books in Sweden. He has recently been awarded a Konstnärsnämnden grant by the Arts Grants Committee of the Swedish government for 2004. Mr. Köhler resides in Stockholm.
